College is certainly a place to discover and grow -However, not every time on campus. Activities off campus are a large part of the fun of going away to school and college nightlife is an integral part in the experience. There are things to learn outside of class and from the library. If you close your books for the night, you leave the confines of the dorm, and discover how the real world can offer you. The culture outside of university can attract students just as and even more than the campus itself. Though campus life can offer the feeling of community with activities, traditions, and dorm life, the off-campus is where students truly let loose and are able to have fun. There’s always great late-night food and a bustling nightlife scene and venues that foster creative or artistic expression, certain college campuses are blessed to have a wonderful off-campus experience. 1. M Street — Washington, D.C.
If it’s because they’re aspiring to be President of the United States or the next Olivia Pope, young political hopefuls flock the streets of D.C. to attend school and they do so with good reason. 3. Franklin Street — Chapel Hill, N.C.
The University of North Carolinia-Chapel Hill students are avid supporters of all the entertainment Franklin Street has to offer. There are plenty of bars with a wide range of different entertainment options and moods to choose from. “He’s Not Here,” for instance, is one of the top choices of UNC students. It’s well-known in its Blue Cup specials that offer 33 ounces worth of beer for under $6it’s a dream for college students on budget. Top of the Hill is acknowledged as one of the best breweries in the country, which even boasts its own distillery. In the middle at the center of Greenwich Village, MacDougal Street is a hotspot to New York University students and locals as well. Bars and live performances provide a fantastic representation of Greenwich Village’s trendy culture. While not exclusively a member of one schools, Newbury Street in Boston is a hot-spot for all of Boston’s college students. The street spans eight blocks that are lined with some of Boston’s best and most distinctive eating and shopping experiences in Boston. When you’re there, you can go on a journey through the old Newbury Comics store, or check out quirky Johnny Cupcakes (note: they don’t offer cupcakes). After dark, take a look at the food options at Itadaki Japanese restaurant or let loose your inner imaginative at The Paint Bar where you can show off your talents as a painter while sipping on a few adult drinks.
6. Clayton Street — Athens, Georgia
Downtown Athens is loved by students of the University of Georgia, but Clayton Street seems to be where the action really happens. There are a lot of bars with live entertainment as well as an assortment of dining options for a Friday or Saturday night out. Many students make a weekly trip to downtown, which can be effortless since it’s just a walking distance from the UGA campus. 8. Main Street — Ann Arbor, Michigan

At Ninth Street, students at the University of Missouri can find all the necessary things: sandwich shops and Chipotle for the quick snack, Starbucks for a caffeinated beverage to fuel those all-nighters, plenty of pubs and bars to unwind after having a long day (or hour) of work, and late-night dining establishments (like El Rancho, which is a huge hit with the crowd.
